A Quick Thought on Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
Exodus 14:14

Have you ever been in a place in your life where you feel like you are stuck, alone, anxious, or wearied from trials in your life? Have you gotten to a point where you feel like you can't even see how you will make it another day? There are times in many Christians lives where God brings trials into our life, sometimes even many at a once. Sometimes these trials become so much that we feel that we can no longer even see to the next day.
Sometimes I'm laying in bed trying to map out the next few days, months, and years and I get overwhelmed. I'm trying to take too many things at once and figure out how I'm going to deal with them now. When I look at all the things I have to do in my future- leaving home, college, meeting people, a full-time job, even marriage- I wonder how I could ever do it. I feel hopeless; it's too much to face on my own. I feel exhausted; how can I go another day with all these issues? I worry and worry and worry until I'm sick and paralyzed with fear. "What's the point of even going on in life when I have all these hardships to face in front of me?"
But then I am reminded of why I can face those things. When I feel weak, hopeless, and incapable, the Lord is strong and more than capable. When we cannot go on any longer, the Lord has promised to carry us through. He will be your strength through every hardship you come through, if only you will trust him.
Stop trying to take your whole life at once. The Bible tells us that today's worries are sufficient for themselves {Matthew 6:34}. Take one day at a time. This world has too many sorrows and hardships for mere men to take; we need someone stronger to fight for us when we can't even move anymore. Jesus is ever-gracious, ever-compassionate. He understands our short-comings as people and He is able to make up for them.

The Creator of the Universe will seek me out- a broken and dying lamb who is too weak to go on- and carry me back to the fold.

We are not able, but He is. We are weak, but he is mightier than our worst fears.

Submit your life to Him and let Him fight for you.
